K-Mart employee admits she stole jewelry from employer

BUFORD - An employee of a Gwinnett County K-Mart store is charged with felony theft by taking after she admitted stealing jewelry from the store to pay her mortgage.

Gwinnett police said a store manager conducted an audit of the store's jewelry and discovered items missing. He told police he reviewed store surveillance tape and saw Stephanie Blair, 26, of Sugar Hill steal jewelry on two occasions.

Blair apparently admitted stealing two necklaces and four rings and apologized for the theft.
