BUFORD - The person critically injured in a pre-dawn wreck Friday on Interstate 985 near Buford has now died as a result of those injuries.
Gwinnett County Police say they can release very few details in the investigation at this point, but they do say the accident involved only one vehicle.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. on I-985 northbound at the I-85 split.
Two others in the car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities said the northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for roughly three hours while the wreck was cleared.
