GAINESVILLE - The three Republican candidates for the newly-drawn Ninth District Congressional post will face off in a debate Saturday at the Georgia Mountains Center.

The debate, jointly hosted by the Hall County Republican Party and the Lanier Tea Party Patriots, starts at 9:00 a.m. with a meet-and-greet session. The actual debate begins at 9:30 and is expected to last until 11:00.

Martha Zoller, Doug Collins and Roger Fitzpatrick will field questions from a media panel comprised of retired Jacobs Media News Director Ken Stanford, Gainesville Times Executive Editor Mitch Clarke and radio talk show host Ken Coleman.

Audience members will also have a chance to pose questions to the three GOP candidates.

The winner of the GOP race will face Democrat Jody Cooley in the November general election.
