CUMMING - A plan to dump treated sludge on a parcel of land in southeastern Dawson County will be scrutinized at a public meeting Monday.
Waterscape Services LLC in Cumming has filed a request dump stabilized sewage sludge on a parcel of land on Harry Sosebee Road at Ga. Highway 9.
At least one Dawson County Commissioner has gone on record against the proposal, saying he doesn't want sewage sludge placed on open ground.
The public meeting is set for 10:00 on Monday at the clubhouse at Hampton Village Golf in Forsyth County.
