Sexual assault claim at GGC turns out to be false

By Staff
LAWRENCEVILLE - Georgia Gwinnett College officials have reported one of the sexual assault cases reported last weekend turned out to be false.

According to Georgia Gwinnett's Assistant Director of Media and Publications Sally Ramey, the alleged victim admitted there was no attacker.

"It now appears that there is no unknown assailant that might pose an imminent risk to the GGC community," she said.

The bogus case centered around a parking lot near Building 3000 Sunday night.

Ramey said campus police were considering charging the woman who made the claim.

A separate case that happened early Sunday morning apparently has not been refuted.
