NORCROSS (AP) - A man convicted of murder in a deadly suburban Atlanta home invasion robbery has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Jason Dozier was found guilty Tuesday in the February 2012 shooting death of 15-year-old Nicholas Jackson in Norcross.
Authorities have said Dozier was one of seven suspects who targeted the boy's home because his father is a known drug dealer.
WSB-TV reports Jackson was hiding behind a door when shots were fired through it and was wounded in the chest.
Prosecutors and Dozier's defense attorney say Dozier didn't fire any shots. However, prosecutors said the man was still guilty of murder because he was present for the crime.
