North Hall moved down to No. 8, while four other area teams maintained their positions in the latest Georgia Sports Writers Association Prep Football poll, released Tuesday.
The Trojans (6-1, 3-1 Region 7-AAA) slid four spots in the Class AAA top 10 after a 21-7 loss at White County on Friday. The Warriors (5-2, 3-1) earned votes in the poll. North Hall will play host to West Hall this week. White County plays host to Dawson County (4-3, 2-2) this week.
Also in Class AAA, Buford maintained its place atop the rankings, the Wolves (7-0, 4-0) travel to face Fannin County (2-5, 1-3) on Friday.
In Class AAAAA, Gainesville held at No. 4 after a 56-28 win over Clarke Central. The Red Elephants (7-1, 6-0 Region 8-AAAAA) are on a bye this week.
In Class AA, Jefferson is still 10th in the rankings after a comfortable 41-0 defeat of Oglethorpe County. The Dragons (5-2, 3-1 Region 8-AA) will play host to winless Social Circle on Friday.
And in Class AAAAAA, North Gwinnett is still No. 1 after a 41-0 defeat of Habersham Central. The Bulldogs (7-0, 5-0 Region 7-AAAAAA) will play host to Collins Hill (6-1, 4-1) on Friday.
