ACWORTH -- Lakeview Academy football coach Matthew Gruhn says his team has shown a lot of improvement over the last four weeks.
Jackson Strickland was obviously itching to show everyone just how far the Lions have come on Friday.
The senior quarterback dominated in a 42-7 win over North Cobb Christian in Acworth, rushing for 277 yards and four touchdowns.
Including a 45-yard kick return, Strickland compiled over 300 total yards.
Drake Hollander also scored twice for the Lions (2-6), while David Abee picked off a North Cobb Christian pass.
"It was nice to get back on the winning track," Gruhn said. "We've come a long way, and we have gotten much more consistent. Hopefully next week we can close out the season on a winning note."
Lakeview will wrap its campaign with a trip to Towns County next Friday.
