ATHENS - A 911 call made Wednesday has joggers and University of Georgia police back on high alert after a woman believes she saw a man matching a sketch released in January.
The sketch is that of a man who police think is responsible for an attack at the State Botanical Gardens on January 18. A woman told police a man held a knife to her throat and threatened to rape her. She managed to escape.
Now, UGA police think the man might have returned to the scene of the crime, based on the call received earlier this week.
Authorities said they have received a number of tips in the case, but did not elaborate on what those tips are.
