Atlanta man pleads not guilty in deadly jet ski incident

By The Associated Press
GAINESVILLE - An Atlanta man facing charges in the death of an 11-year-old in a Lake Lanier jet ski collision last summer has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard's attorney Tuesday entered the not guilty plea to all charges, including first-degree homicide by vessel, on his client's behalf.

Kile Glover and his father, Ryan Glover, were vacationing at Lake Lanier when Hubbard crashed a personal watercraft into the boy's inner tube July 6. Kile died at a hospital July 21.

Hubbard also faces charges of reckless operation of a vessel, unlawful operation of a personal watercraft, boat traffic violation and serious injury by vessel.

There is no word on a trial date for Hubbard.

The case has garnered national attention, since the boy's mother was once married to R&B singer Usher.
