GAINESVILLE - Three Gainesville men were arrested Thursday on drug charges after local agents said they found two of them growing marijuana.
Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Lt. Scott Ware said the marijuana plants had a potential street value of $34,000 dollars.
"The theory behind that is that a mature marijuana plant will yield approximately one pound of processed marijuana and the price per pound is around $2,000," said Ware.
Ware said Jason Lamar Cain, 37, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing marijuana and a probation warrant; Brandon Michael Hughey, 28, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing marijuana; and, Mitchell Dwight Webb, 25, was arrested on a probation warrant.
The incident took place at 2830 Outer Circle, according to Ware.
