By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio
HELEN - Authorities have made two arrests in connection with the death of a Helen man.

In a news release Friday, Helen Police Chief Jim Couch said arrest warrants were obtained for 21-year-old Jason William Bowlen of Dallas, Ga., and 52-year-old James Patrick Thigpen of Mableton.

Couch said both were arrested and charged with concealment of a person's death and giving false statements.

The body of 65-year-old John Terry Sliger was found in his 21 Hollytree Place residence off Escowee Drive. The death was reported after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Due to the nature of the call and circumstances surround the death, investigators requested Georgia Bureau of Investigation assistance, according to Couch.

Authorities are continuing the investigation while awaiting information from the GBI State Crime Lab.
