GAINESVILLE - In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, the Gainesville Public Utilities Department has scheduled an Open House at the Riverside water treatment plant for Friday, May 10.
Guests will be treated to tours and information on the amount of water that runs through the plant and how the water is treated. The tours will take place between noon and 4 p.m.
The American Water Works Association has been celebrating Water
Week for 35 years, calling attention to the vital role water plays in our
everyday lives.
The City of Gainesville serves more than 50,000 water accounts in
Gainesville and Hall County.
