By B.J. Williams
LULA - Hall County authorities are looking for an armed woman who shot and robbed an employee at Wayne Wilson Pottery on Georgia Highway 365 this morning.

Hall County Sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said deputies were called to the business just after 9 a.m. He said the employee was confronted as she arrived at work.

"When deputies arrived, they discovered a 59-year-old female employee of the business that had been shot a single time in the head and neck area," said Wilbanks.

He said the employee was taken by air ambulance to a hospital. Wilbanks did not know the severity of the wound, but he said emergency personnel did not believe it was life threatening.

Wilbanks described the suspect as a white female with brown hair, unknown age, wearing sunglasses and a ball cap. He said she left the scene in a mid-sized red SUV.

Wayne Wilson Pottery has been closed for the day.

Authorities said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who thinks they see her should call 911.
