Overturned rig prompts closure of I-85 north in Jackson Co.

COMMERCE - Authorities say an overturned tractor trailer forced the closure of one lane of I-85 northbound at Exit 147.

The accident actually occurred just north of Banks Crossing, but authorities were diverting traffic around the crash scene via Exit 147.

At one point, both lanes of the interstate were closed. The interstate was re-opened at 2:20 pm.

The vehicle ran off the road, hit a guard rail and overturned. Luckily, no one was injured in the accident.
