Hall Co. murder case to be featured on cable show

GAINESVILLE - When the cable TV show "On the Case with Paula Zahn" has its season premiere Sunday night, it will feature a murder case familiar to Hall County residents.

Producers of the show say the season premiere will outline details of the 2010 Valentine's Day murder of Richard Shoek). Shoek was found shot to death at Belton Bridge Park in northeast Hall County. His wife, Stacey Shoek, is accused of masterminding the murder. She and two co-conspirators are in prison, serving time for the crime.

"On the Case with Paula Zahn" has been part of the Investigation Discovery Channel (ID) line-up since 2009. The 2013 premiere airs at 10 p.m. Sunday.
