Family appeals for help in finding hit-and-run suspect

ROSWELL - The family of a 22-year-old Buford man critically injured in a hit and run crash north of Atlanta Sunday is appealing for help in the case.

Alex Palombini's uncle spent Thursday posting flyers at the Mosaic Apartments on Roswell Road where the offending vehicle was captured on surveillance video just before the crash. He said he is hoping that a passenger dropped off at the apartment complex, believed to be inside the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will come forward.

Sandy Springs police investigators said they believe the Cherokee that hit Palombini's motorcycle is missing the front bumper.

Robert Puscizna spoke with Fox 5 News and said his nephew remains in a coma at Atlanta Medical Center.

Palombini has lived in the United States since he was 9-years-old, according to Puscizna. He said his nephew had been working to obtain permanent residency.
