By B.J. Williams
HIAWASSEE - Additional charges have been filed against two women in connection with the death of a woman found in an abandoned well in Towns County last week.

According to Towns County Sheriff's officials, both 32-year-old Rebecca Ann Stokes and 21-year-old Brittany Elizabeth Ledford face the same list of charges: malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, removal of a body from a death scene and tampering with evidence. In addition, Stokes has been charged with making terroristic threats.

The charges were filed after the body of 53-year-old Diane "Dee Dee" Adams Donaldson was found in an abandoned well east of Hiawassee on Wednesday. The GBI was called to assist with the investigation, and the body was removed from the well on Thursday. Authorities have not released the specific cause of Donaldson's death.

Donaldson had been missing since June 24.

Authorities have not said yet what the relationship was between Donaldson and Stokes and Ledford.
