One killed in Dawson Co. wreck

DAWSONVILLE - One person was killed Wednesday in a crash between a minivan and a tractor trailer in Dawson County.

The Georgia State Patrol said the accident happened just after 11:45 a.m. on Highway 53 just west of Highway 183.

The van hit the semi head-on, killing the driver of the minivan, according to investigators. They said the driver of the semi was injured, but not critically.

At this point, identities of those involved have not been released.
