Chestatee Regional Hospital, doctors to conduct heart health event

DAHLONEGA - Chestatee Regional Hospital has partnered with Northeast Georgia Heart Center to bring information to the public on the importance of heart health awareness and heart disease prevention.

The two agencies will host a presentation Thursday, July 25 at St. Luke's Catholic Church on N. Park Street in Dahlonega, according to Jason Cox, CEO of Chestatee Regional Hospital.

"We are hoping to share information with the public that can help to preserve their health and improve their lives," said Cox.

The Sharing Knowledge, Saving Lives!- Heart Health Edition will feature presentations by Dr. Heather Westmoreland and Dr. Kashyap Patel of Northeast Georgia Heart Center in Dahlonega. The doctors will discuss simple ways to stay heart healthy. In addition, Dr. Westmoreland will share information on how heart disease affects men and women differently.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will last for approximately one hour, according to organizers.
