BUFORD - Two adults have been displaced after a fire damaged their home in Buford Tuesday night.
Gwinnett Fire Captain Tommy Rutledge said the fire broke out in the kitchen of a house on King Arthur Court in Buford. Firefighters said the man who lived in the house used a fire extinguisher to try to douse the fire, which apparently started on the stove. He suffered a minor injury as a result.
Most of the damage to the house came from smoke, according to Rutledge.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the pair.
