Hall Co. authorities don't have many clues in Clermont attack

By B.J. Williams
CLERMONT - Authorities say they still don't have much to go on as they continue to investigate an attack on a woman inside her north Hall County home Wednesday morning.

Hall County Sheriff's Office Deputy Chad Mann said Thursday morning investigators right now have only an obscure description of the suspect. He is said to be a black male, who was wearing some type of mask.

The assault happened Wednesday around 9 a.m., when the suspect somehow got into the house on Avalon Commons Way and stabbed the woman, who is in her 20s. She was hospitalized at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputy Mann said authorities believe there is no danger to the general public. He said anyone who lives in the community is asked to report any suspicious activity to authorities.

The non-emergency dispatch line for HCSO is 770-536-8812. Any emergency calls should go to 911.
