TIGER -- Rabun County held Commerce to just 89 total yards en route to a 28-0 win Friday night at Frank Snyder Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats offense piled up 350 total yards, including 261 yards passing and two touchdowns from Wes Holcombe. Charlie Woerner added 87 yards rushing, including an electrifying 73-yard touchdown run on the Wildcats' opening series.
Commerce (2-2) known for a bruising ground attack, was held to just 81 yards rushing for the game.
Dan Dailey gave Rabun County a 14-0 lead with a 2-yard run midway through the first quarter and increased its lead to 20-0 on a 23-yard TD pass from Holcombe to Alden Wright midway through the second quarter. Wright would finish with 12 catches for 136 yards for the game.
Rabun County (3-0) would finish the scoring late in the fourth quarter on a 16-yard TD pass from Holcombe to Jordan Oliver.
The Wildcats will open their Region 8-AA schedule next week playing host to Social Circle.
Commerce will open its Region 8-A schedule next week at home against George Walton Academy.
