ATLANTA (AP) Two Republicans have won re-election to the Georgia Public Service Commission. <br />

Early returns Tuesday showed GOP Commissioner Lauren ``Bubba'' McDonald defeated Democratic challenger Daniel Blackman and Libertarian Robin Aaron Gilmer for the District 4 seat. The district is covers much of north Georgia and includes Rome, Gainesville and Augusta. <br />

In the race for the District 1 seat, Commissioner H. Doug Everett defeated Libertarian opponent John Monds. No Democrat ran for the seat that includes south Georgia. <br />

The PSC regulates electrical and gas utilities in Georgia as well as other service providers. Though its commissioners run for assigned districts, they are elected by voters statewide.
