UNDATED - A 21-year-old Alto man has been identified as the victim of a three-vehicle crash in White County Wednesday night.

Sgt. Anthony Coleman with the Georgia State Patrol said Thursday Zachary Masters was driving a Ford F150 southbound on Duncan Bridge Road when he failed to properly negotiate a curve and his truck crossed the center line of the road about one-tenth of a mile south of River Road. Masters struck an oncoming Ford Explorer head on, according to Coleman. Another vehicle, a 2001 Lexus, traveling behind the SUV also hit Masters' truck as the driver of the Lexus maneuvered to try to avoid the accident.

Coleman said Masters died at the scene, and because he was the at-fault driver, no charges will be filed in the incident.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, identified as Rochelle Hamilton of Cleveland, was seriously injured and flown by air ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The driver of the Lexus was evaluated by emergency workers and released at the scene.

Coleman said the fatal accident happened around 8:20 p.m. Investigators remained on the scene until just after 10 p.m.
