ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta police say the same gun was used to kill two men who were shot as they slept outside in Atlanta last month.

Now, police hope the bullets will lead them to the killer.

Atlanta police Det. David Quinn said the bullets -- 45 Colt 200 gr JHP -- haven't been manufactured since 2010.

Quinn tells WSB-TV that investigators hope the new information generates leads from the public.

The latest killing happened late Nov. 25 or early Nov. 26, when Tommy Mims was shot multiple times while curled up in a blanket and sleeping.

Another man, Dorian Jenkins, was found dead in a blanket on a sidewalk Nov. 23.

Though a motive is unclear, investigators have said it's possible the killer targeted the men because of a grudge against homeless people.
