Hall Co., Gainesville City offices announce holiday hours

GAINESVILLE - Both Hall County and city of Gainesville governments have announced special hours for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.<br /> <br /> Hall County's administrative offices, courts and community centers will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 for the Christmas holidays, as well as Jan. 1 for the New Year's holiday.<br /> <br /> The landfill and Hall County Recycing Center will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and New Year's Day. Compactor sites will be closed Christmas Day only. <br /> <br /> Essential public safety and public works personnel will continue service as usual during the holidays. Many county services are always available online: residents can renew a vehicle tag, find a new pet, pay taxes, and more at hallcounty.org.<br /> <br /> Meanwhile, Gainesville government administrative offices will close at noon on Dec. 24 and be closed Dec. 25 and 26 for Christmas.<br /> <br /> Recycling will be picked up Dec. 24. There will be no recycling or garbage collection Dec. 25 or 26.<br /> <br /> Administrative offices for Gainesville will also be closed Jan. 1, 2015; no garbage or recycling service will be available. Normal services will resume Friday, Jan. 2. <br /> <br />
