White County reports another positive rabies case

CLEVELAND - White County has another confirmed case of rabies.

White County Animal Control officer Pat Cooper said, last week another positive case was confirmed by the state laboratory.

Cooper said this time a female dog and her puppies had an encounter with a skunk.

The incident occurred at the 4700 block of Highway 254. She noted that the last case reported on Jan. 24 was at the 4500 block of Highway 254.

Cooper urges all residents to make sure their pets are vaccinated against rabies.
