GAINESVILLE - A person was hit by a vehicle and injured on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville, according to Division Chief Keith Smith with the Gainesville Fire Department.<br />

Smith said the person was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The patient's injuries were not life threatening, according to Smith.<br />

The accident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. near the intersection with Linwood Drive.<br />
