MLK volunteers to plant trees in Atlanta neighborhoods

ATLANTA (AP) Volunteers will plant trees in four Atlanta neighborhoods as a service project on Monday. <br />

Trees Atlanta said the trees will be planted from 9 a.m. to noon in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. <br />
<br />
Organizers say the trees will be planted in in four areas: The Old Fourth Ward; Southview Cemetery; Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown; and the Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center. <br />
<br />
Trees Atlanta is a citizens' group that protects and improves Atlanta's urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating. The group says it has planted and distributed more than 100,000 trees since 1985.
