Four arrested on drug charges in Clarkesville drug stop

CLARKESVILLE - Four people were arrested early Sunday after drug agents confiscated an assortment of illegal drugs during a traffic stop in Clarkesville.<br />

Agent Mitchell Posey with the North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office said officers with the agency and the Clarkesville Police Department arrested three men and one woman at 12:04 a.m. on January 18, 2015. <br />
<br />
He identified those arrested as Keith Dupree Fortenberry, 59, of Cleveland, Larry Edward Wood, 53, of Cleveland, Michelle Rosine Scott, 33, of Toccoa and Billy Grant Burton, 32, of Cleveland. <br />
<br />
Posey said all four subjects are charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of morphine with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax, possession of hydrocodone and possession of diazepam. <br />
<br />
Posey said street valuye of the drugs was about $4,000.<br />
