ATLANTA (AP) Emory University's medical school and Emory Healthcare are teaming up with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare hospitals to care for Ebola patients

They will provide training, educational resources and consultations for the 48 U.S. medical centers that have been designated Ebola treatment centers. These medical centers have developed or are working on specialized hospital units to treat patients diagnosed with Ebola virus disease.

Emory says it has received a training contract through the CDC. Under that agreement, Emory will use different methods to share best practices.

Emory has already hosted three Ebola preparedness training conferences. They have focused on managing specialized Ebola treatment units. Emory doctors and nurses have also been going on site visits to help set up the treatment units.
