GAINESVILLE — Gainesville City officials will close the downtown streets to traffic Thursday afternoon at 5:30 for the annual Mule Camp Market festival on the Gainesville Square.
All vehicle traffic will be suspended until 10 p.m. Sunday, October 11.
The Public Works Department will barricade the following streets with limits to pedestrian traffic only:
*Washington Street at Green Street
*Washington Street at Maple Street
*Spring Street at Green Street
*Spring Street at Maple Street
*Main Street immediately past the entrance to the parking deck
*Main Street at the alley behind the north block of the Square
*Bradford Street at Brenau Avenue
*Bradford Street at the alley behind the north block of the Square
*The alley between Main Street and Bradford Street
*Maple Street at Broad Street
*Maple Street at Jesse Jewell Parkway
*The through access drive between theparking deck and the Brenau Downtown Center
In addition, some downtown area parking spaces will be unavailable Thursday and Friday in preparation for the festival.
