SUWANEE - The first annual Alive! Festival, a "non-profit wellness and green-living festival," will be held in Suwanee later this month.

Scheduled for Saturday, October 24th in the Suwanee Town Center Park, the Alive! Festival will feature "over 50 vendors, artists, food trucks [and] non-profits," as well as "live music from local up-and-coming musicians, including Corin Christiansen, Josh Farber [and] Alecia Dais."

An off-shoot of the Alive! Expo held annually in Atlanta, the festival will provide samples and demonstrations of natural and eco-friendly products, organic foods, healthy cooking demonstrations and interactive fitness demonstrations.

The event will also feature live health lectures from industry experts and numerous activities planned especially for children.

According to a media release, proceeds from the festival will benefit Project Green, a non-profit organiztion headquartered in Atlanta. Founder Patrycja Siewert Towns says Project Green's mission is to "invest in and protect green space, initially within the Southeastern United States, with plans for expansion into other regions."

The organization also helps develop annual "Back to Basics" summer camps that benefits underpriviledged children, including those in the foster care system.

The Alive! Festival, which will be held rain or shine, will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the event is free to the public.

Suwanee Town Center Park is located at 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, GA 30024.
