BRASELTON - Although no injuries were reported, two Barrow County adults were left without a home following a severe house fire in the northern end of the county over the weekend.
According to Lt. Scott Dakin with Barrow County Emergency Services, crews received the initial call just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Dakin said crews arriving at the Beringer Drive home near State Route 124 discovered a two-story home that was heavily involved with fire.
First responders were forced to take a defensive approach in battling the flames, eventually bringing it under control, but not before the residence suffered heavy damage. Dakin noted that the fire also damaged a neighboring home.
The occupants of the home were displaced by the fire.
