PEACHTREE CITY - Another 1-2 inches of rain is expected this week across water-logged north Georgia, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a new Flood Watch.
The region was under a Flood Watch for several days last week with many places, including Gainesville, reporting around four inches of rain for the week.
Now, forecasters say that with the ground already saturated and more rain expected, additional flooding is a possibility, especially along and north of a line from Carrollton-to-Atlanta-to-Gainesville. The current Flood Watch http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/ will be in effect from 7:00 Monday morning until 7:00 Tuesday morning.
