Key dates associated with Hall SPLOST referendum approaching

GAINESVILLE - Some key dates associated with the March 17 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) referendum in Hall County are fast-approaching, including the last day to register to vote.<br /> <br /> County Director of Elections Director Charlottee Sosebee says Feb. 17 is the final day to register to vote and that absentee ballots will be available the following Friday, Feb. 20.<br /> <br /> Sosebee says a written request is required for all ballots but you do not have to give a reason for applying for an absentee ballot. Applications are available in the elections office and on the county website (see first link below).<br /> <br /> She added that Advance Voting will begin Feb. 23 and continue through March 13 at the elections office in the Hall County Government Center from 8:00-5:00 each day, Monday-Friday.<br /> <br /> Sosebee says sample ballots are available by mail, in the elections office and on the county website.
