GAINESVILLE - North Hall High School was evacuated for almost two-and-a-half hours while Hall County authorities search the school buildings following the discovery of a threat written on bathroom wall at the school Tuesday afternoon.<br />

Hall County School System Superintendent Will Schofield said the threat was discovered in a boys' bathroom around 12:30 p.m.<br />

"Another note on a bathroom wall about something to the effect of a bomb threat," said Schofield, who did not elaborate on the exact content of the message.<br />
<br />
"It was very similar to some of those we've seen over the past several years, but it was threatening enough that we certainly had to follow protocol and evacuate the building."<br />
<br />
He said students and faculty were evacuated from the high school and relocated to the football stadium. Parents were notified via instant messenger that could come to the upper parking lot off Mt. Vernon Road if they wished to check their child out of school. <br />

Schofield said the school system will offer the standard $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the individual responsible for the written threat.<br />

Just last week, school officials discovered a threat on a boys' bathroom wall at Gainesville High School. The discovery was made at the end of the day Wednesday, so no evacuation was necessary, but there was increased law enforcement presence on campus the following day.<br />
