Jefferson man one of two new commercial loan officers at Madison Bank & Trust

ATHENS - Jay Starnes, President and CEO of First Madison Bank & Trust recently announced the addition of two seasoned loan officers to the bank staff.<br /> <br /> Jeff Bankston, Vice President of Commercial Lending, has been a resident of the Athens area for the past 28 years. Bankston has more than 29 years of banking experience, according to Starnes. His tenure has included positions in Credit Administration, Branch Operations, Market Executive and Commercial Loans. Bankston is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Economics and is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School.<br /> <br /> Wayne Garrison, Vice President of Commercial Lending, is a native and current resident of Jefferson and has 30 years of banking experience. Starnes said Garrison has expertise in the areas of Branch Management, Market Executive and Commercial Lending. Garrison holds a BBA degree in Marketing from the University of West Georgia. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School as well as the School of Banking at LSU.<br /> <br /> Both Bankston and Garrison will be located at the Main Office of Madison Bank & Trust on Highway 780/Highway 29 North in Athens.
