Bids sought for Flowery Branch road project

FLOWERY BRANCH - The City of Flowery Branch expects to open bids March 9 on the extension of Lights Ferry Road and some related work.

The city has been seeking bids the past several weeks.

According to a posting on the city's Website, the project also includes construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Lights Ferry Road and Mitchell Street, in addition to the extension and widening of Lights Ferry Road and Snelling Avenue. The construction of bio-retention basins and curb and gutter, sidewalk, and landscaping work are included, as well, among other things.

Bids will be received until 3:00 March 9 at the Flowery Branch Community Development director's office at which time they will be opened.
