DAWSONVILLE - Rachel Burton has been named Director of Planning and Development for Dawson County.
Burton began working for the county as the Public Information Coordinator for County Administration in January of 2012 before moving to Planning and Development as the Zoning Administrator in September of the same year.
County Manager Cindy Campbell, in making the announcement, said "Rachel Burton has been a huge asset to the County, and to the Planning and Development department specifically as the Zoning Administrator. Her strong work ethic, experience, and diverse skill-set make her a great fit for the Director of Planning and Development position."
Burton replaces David McKee, who is now Director of Administration for the County.
