ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will sponsor a career expo for job seekers Thursday, March 26, in Toccoa.
The expo will be held from 9:00-12:00 at Mitchell Allen Memorial Hall, 160 North Alexander Street.
Staff members of the GDOL's Toccoa Career Center will be on-hand to provide employment-related services to job seekers.
The expo will feature about 20 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources.
Applicants should bring resumes, be prepared to fill out company applications, and interview for available job openings. They are also encouraged to bring driver's licenses and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
Among those expected to participate in the expo include: DeVry University, Fenner Dunlop, Field Service Engineering, Georgia Mountains Workforce Development Authority, Herzing University, Homesafe, Lee Arrendale State Prison, McDonald's, Murphy-Hoffman Company, Portwatch, Ritz Instrument Transformers, Royston LLC, Tenneco, Vet Center, and Walgreen's.
