GAINESVILLE - Hall County firefighters battled a mobile home fire in the northern part of the county early Sunday morning.
According to Fire Marshal Scott Cagle, crews were called to Autry Spur near Clarkes Bridge Road just after 7:00 a.m. following reports of a single-wide mobile home that was showing signs of fire.
Cagle said upon arrival firefighters discovered the home to be roughly 25% involved with fire. Working quickly, crews were able to extinguish the fire but not before approximately $15,000 worth of damage was done to the residence.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started in one of the bedrooms, and was possibly electrical in nature.
No injuries were reported as there were no residents home at the time of the fire. Cagle said two occupants were displaced as a result of the fire and will stay with family for the time being.
