ATLANTA (AP) Transportation Security Administration officials are urging Memorial Day Weekend travelers to give themselves extra time as large crowds are expected to pass through the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Regional TSA spokesman Mark Howell said more than 76,000 travelers are expected to pass through Atlanta's airport Friday. Howell said just under 70,000 travelers were screened at the airport on the Friday before Memorial Day in 2014.
Howell said passengers should plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure. He said travelers should also check personal belongings for prohibited items before arriving at the airport.
