CLARKESVILLE - April was a time of change for the North Georgia Technical College Administrative Services Department, according to a media release from NGTC.
Dining Hall Manager Kathy Wrenn retired on May 1, so Vickie Brown assumed the responsibilities of Food Service Manager in the Ramsey Hunter Dining Hall on the Clarkesville Campus. Prior to coming to NGTC in 2006, Brown spent many years in food service management and operations in North Georgia. Officials said Brown brings her experience and expertise to the kitchen of Ramsey Hunter Dining Hall, and faculty and staff are looking forward to seeing what changes she may be implementing in the Dining Hall services.
Also retiring last month was Custodian Kack Sithisaiya. Filling her role, Kelly Moody has joined the NGTC full time custodial staff.
“We miss seeing Kack’s smiling face in the mornings,” said Vice President for Administrative Services Carol Carson. “But Kelly’s smile is just as welcoming. She is a delight to have on staff.”
Emily Sullens, who will be receiving her Associates Degree in a few months, accepted a position as Accounting Technician. Sullens will be involved with the asset management functions along with other general accounting duties.
“Emily will be graduating from NGTC’s Accounting Program,” said Carson. “I know that Instructor Tim Green has prepared her to step into this position fully equipped to begin her career in accounting. The Business Office is very pleased to have Emily join the NGTC family.”
