GAINESVILLE — The folks in charge of the John Jarrard Foundation are always trying new ways to get music in front of an audience, and over the weekend, they chose the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue on Clarks Bridge Road as the setting. From the looks of things, the first-ever Lake Show was a success.
Singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins was the headliner, but a number of other local artists took to the stage, as well. Greg Hester and Keith Jenkins played acoustic sets and local favorites River Street and Midlife Crisis performed for the crowds on the shore of Lake Lanier.
And, while the focus was on the music, the day was also filled with activities for children and families.
