CLARKESVILLE — The North Georgia Technical College Academic Affairs Department was structured with three Dean positions, however, one has been vacant for the past two years. Beginning July 1, that will change with the appointment of Leslie McFarlin as Dean of Academic Affairs.
“I am very excited that Leslie will be stepping up to fill this role,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Kathie Ivester. “She is tireless in her commitment to excellent instruction for all of our students, and her enthusiasm for new initiatives is contagious.”
McFarlin joined the North Georgia Technical College family in July 2007 as a Math instructor. In 2009, she agreed to lead the College in the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), while continuing as a math instructor at both the Clarkesville and Currahee campuses. In addition to those duties, She has also volunteered in a number of college initiatives such as Complete College Georgia and Achieving the Dream.
