GAINESVILLE — Hall County Commissioners are weighing a couple of options when it comes to financing the county budget for FY 2016.
At the first of three public hearings on the budget yesterday, County Finance Director Vickie Neikirk presented the $93.1 million dollar proposed budget to commissioners.
The plan represents an overall 3.16 percent increase in expenditures for the coming year.
Commissioners have the option of maintaining the millage rate at the current level of 6-point-25 mills or rolling back the rate, according to Neikirk.
Keeping the rate as it stands now would prevent the commission from using additional General Fund reserves.
