Annual Cracker Fly-In coming to Gainesville July 11th

GAINESVILLE - EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Chapter 611 will host the 46th Annual Cracker Fly-In July 11th at Gainesville's Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport.  It will begin at 7:00 and continue until 3:00.

Billed as a "car show for airplanes," it is expected to attract more than 150 aircraft from all over the Southeast including historic, homebuilt, helicopters and more.  The aircraft will be judged in several categories.

Pancakes will be served starting at 7:30 and lunch by Branch House Tavern at 11:30. 

Lanier Flight Center will have new aircraft demonstrations and there will be Huey and Cobra helicopter rides and bi-plane rides available for a price.
A Lockheed Electra, J3 Cubs, Stearmans, Austin Healey cars and military trucks will be among the static displays.   A kids area will feature Jump Castles, snow cones, free gifts and more. 

Parking, at $5.00 fee per vehicle, will be on Palmour drive next to I-985.
