CLARKESVILLE — North Georgia Technical College has nominated Initials, Inc., for the honor of 2015 Manufacturer of the Year in the small business category. In recognition of its high degree of corporate responsibility, economic impact on Georgia, and overall workforce development, Initials, Inc. was recognized as a Manufacturer of the Year Nominee in conjunction with the Governor’s Awards Luncheon in April.

Located in Clarkesville, Initials, Inc. has been ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in America three years in a row:  2012, 2013, and 2014.

“This is such a huge honor for us,” said Britney Vickery of Initials, Inc. “We appreciated the networking opportunity and the hospitality at the Award Luncheon in April. Our employees made this happen because of their constant dedication and enthusiasm for our company.”

Owners Britney and Darren Vickery are deeply committed to Initials, Inc. employees and were excited to present the MAW Award to them at the monthly First Friday lunch. This time-honored tradition is an opportunity for all corporate office employees to come together and celebrate their success as a team.

“We are very proud for Initials, Inc. to receive this recognition,” said NGTC Vice President for Economic Development Dr. Mark Ivester. “They have been a friend to many in our community and we at the college applaud them for their growth and excellence in manufacturing.”

Governor Nathan Deal issued a proclamation declaring Manufacturing Appreciation Week and noted the tremendous contribution manufacturing makes to the state's economic well-being. More than 9,000 manufacturing facilities are located in Georgia, according to the proclamation, and they provide 351,910 jobs and generate more than $18.5 billion in wages in the state each year.
